The Bethany Old Town Hall Preservation Committee will meet at 7:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month
at the Bethany Community Center, 10510 Bethany Center Road. 
The committee is in the process of looking for funding for the preservation of the Old Town Hall.

Joining your Local Speak-Up Toastmasters Club is an inexpensive and fun way to improve your
communication and public speaking skills, and develop your leadership abilities.

Toastmasters International is dedicated to making effective oral communiction a worldwide reality.
Toastmasters clubs help men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking - skills that promte
self-acutalization, enhance leadership potential, and foster human understanding.

Meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month
Batavia City Centre in the upstairs conference room, from 7:15 pm to 9:00 pm.

The club is for anyone: spouces who want to communicate better, impassioned folks with a message to take to
the world, those with jobs that entail presentations, every day people who want to sound intelligent, government
workers who deal with people, politicians who want to communicate their platform clearly, speakers who would
like to eliminate the "ahs", "ums", "you knows", and "like uns" from their vocabulary, and you.

Learn about body language, voice fluctuation and pitch, the pregnant pause. Learn how to convince and
persuade. Learn how to motivate and inspire. Learn how to sell and handle a hostile audience. Learn!

Bethany Volunteer Fire Department will begin holding All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfasts
at the Bethany Community Center on Sunday, September 14th.
Breakfasts will be held on the 2nd Sunday of each month thru April from 8 a.m. - Noon. $5.00 per person.

Reflective House Markers

In an effort to be sure all homes are marked with easily readable house numbers, the Bethany Fire Department is offering for sale metal signs that attach to any kind of post. The numbers are reflective and will make finding your home in an emergency much easier for emergency personnel. The Fire Department is selling these signs at cost which is $10.00. Fliers are being sent to all Bethany residents, however if you do not receive one please contact Jeff Wolak at 585-344-1962 or you may pick up an order form at the Bethany Town Hall.
